Back pain and cramping in between periods?
Question
I had one period that was 3 weeks late. Then my next two were a couple days early. In between my last period and this one (around the middle of my cycle) I had two different days, about a week apart from each other that I had bad cramping and back pain. No bleeding. Then my period came 3 days late. I have never been regular, but this pain in between is not normal for me. What could be causing this? I'm not pregnant.

Assuming you aren't pregnant (which causes similar discomfort), you're probably ovulating. Occurs in mid cycle typically & feels similar to mild period cramps/discomfort or pms symptoms & can also cause spotting.
Another possiblility is polycystic ovary/ovarian syndrom or PCOS. Pretty common (I have it, several aquaintances/friends do also!) & can be mildly to extremely painful & dabilitating from occurrence to occurrence. This can cause you to spot, too, when the cyst(s) erupts.

Periods can be affected by so many things!
The most common causes are stress, changes in diet, sleeping patterns, excercisse etc…
One time at college I had barely any sleep because of the traveling and work load. My period stopped for almost a year and then started again after I left.
Also going on the pill changes it allot. There are supplements which are suppose to help with the symptoms, such as evening primrose and vitamin B5. Also try lavender oil.
I tried vitamin B5 once and literally all my symptoms of being 'due' stopped. My step mother gets really bad symptoms and takes evening primrose and puts lavender oil in her bath near the time and she says it helps allot.
Just a change in your cycle or a particularly difficult ovulation. If it continues to happen then see a Doc.
sounds like you need to see the gyn.could be cyst or infection or even endimetreosis.so a trip to the Doctor is in order.take care.
