Back Pain Mostly In My Lower Back Area
Question..
For three weeks now I have had pretty bad back pain mostly my lower back area. I was helping my friend move into his new house and I had gone to the gym before, after I got home from helping him the pain just started and has been like this for three weeks now. Should I get an x-ray or what else could I do to help my back heal?

Best to see a doctor and he may recommend an MRI. I had a lower back issue that turned out to be a degenerative disk, L-5 S-1 which was 40% removed and that was fine for about a year and then my second surgery remove the scare tissue. Now i am all better and have no issues with pain. I recommend the surgery.

If this has been going on for three weeks, then yes, you need to have it checked out. They will most likely do an MRI, as it will allow a better "look" as to what may be going on in there, as opposed to a regular x-ray. Good Luck! I do hope it is not anything serious and you feel better very soon!

Sounds like strain to me – the only solution is to take anti inflammatory pills and rest, rest and then rest some more. Don’t lift or carry anything heavy and don’t go to the gym. Just find a nice comfortable position and stay put. You can take Voltaren tablets and there’s the gel as well. There’s Olfen plus Gel. Back strain is a common problem but nip it in the bud. If you don;t rest up you;ll be lumped with it for the rest of your life.

You probably just strained your back. It wouldn’t hurt to go and get an X-ray, but I think if you don’t do any heavy lifting for a while your back should be fine

it would be best to seek help from a doctor or a physical therapist to be able to know the underlying cause of back pain. try do some yoga to relieve pain for this involves physical movements. also rest is important to let strained, overused and overworked muscles to fully recover and heal. for more tips about getting good relief from pain visit http://www .reliefmd.com
