Backache Medication While Your Pregnant?

What is the best thing to put on a backache while your pregnant?

I’ve tried just about every thing and last week went to the hopital becasue I was having contractions so far nothing has worked. I’ve tried heat and cold, standing, laying, sitting, exercises – and I end up still hurting something is going to have to happen or I will scream please help me get rid of this pesky back pain. Oh im 34 weeks pregnant so it must be baby safe!

Go swimming. Even if you don’t really swim laps or something the low gravity environment will help you out a lot.

The best thing that you can do is go and buy a support for your back and belly they sell them at any medical supplies store or at your local pharmacy.

The sad thing is, there isn’t much you can do. Your baby is getting big and putting strain on your back. I’d just take it easy as much as possible. Heat is the best thing to use because it will relax those muscles. I bought these heat patches that are pretty much like Hot Hands, but they have a sticky back and will just stick to your problem areas. They have no smell and get pretty warm. You can also try sleeping on a hot water bottle or heating pad. The best way to make heat work is to keep it on consistantly. I hope you can get rid of this pesky pain soon. Good luck and congrats!

The thing that has worked best for me are warm baths. It does hurt a little to get in and out though. After my bath I have my boyfriend rub my back and feet and that usually makes me fall asleep. Good luck and congrats!

I had the same thing when i was preg. my doc told me to put rice in a sock and tie a knot in the sock and microwave for about 1 min 30 seconds. Tada! better than a heat pad or anything else ive ever tried. it really worked for me good luck!!

Honestly your Husbands hands are the best remedy. A back rub with muscle rub is the safest and best relief.

I remember that feeling! I thought I would die because it hurt so much and couldn’t do anything to get rid of it. I finally wound up sleeping on the floor. Once I remember sleeping on the sofa with my legs hanging over the armrest. My legs were asleep but my back didn’t hurt so much in the morning. When you are standing, try to prop up one foot on a stool to help the back pain, I used to stand like a stork, (as my mom would call it). I looked like an idiot but it helped. Sleep on mountains of pillows. I would sleep on my side, pillow under the belly and hang my leg completely over my husbands back. I would sleep but he would be kept awake cause someone kept kicking his back. LOL. That way he could also monitor my preterm labor contractions. But I SLEPT!

Good news, the usual bad body mechanics of tilting the hip and leaning back when standing and carrying ANY load in front, like a chair, grocery bag, or heavy pregnancy presses the lower back hurting it. Here are safe biomechanical instructions to stand with neutral spine. Any pain that is from the bad posture will go away as soon as you use it: Back Pain in Pregnancy –
