Best remedy for sciatica pain?

What do you think the best remedy for sciatica pain?h3>

Sciatica? Have you had it? What you done to try to cure it?
I take Valium, Tramadol, Diclofenac, None of these damn pills are doing anything, the last time I had this was in my drinking days (over 2.5 yrs back), and I just drank, drank, and drank more. It’s so painfull and its making me feel sick. Thanks for your answers, sorry I cant choose all as best.

Chiropractors DO NOT HELP. im only 19 and i should bounce back into feeling fine, but the only thing that worked was 2 months of physical therapy.. they have u do lots of stretching and ice and heat packs… its such a relief! Trust me!

I have suffered this for some years now, and what i find to be a good help is when you go to bed sleep in the fetal postion with a large pillow/cushion between your knees ! dunno why but it helps me !! x

I had severe sciatica pain for a couple of years in my 20’s. I went to physical therapy, which helped immensely. But believe ot or not I think the best cure is to walk. As much as possible, and as much as your pain permits. I went to a chiropractor which only made the pain worse, I would reccomend avoiding them for that condition. Walking seems to stretch out the area, it helped me more than anything.

I’ve had it for 11 years constantly, it never eases and I’ve had physio, seen chiropractors, had acupuncture, used a tens machine and now take morphine. Nothing helped me but I did find a hot bath would ease it. Now unfortunately I cannot get in and out of a bath so only have a shower which doesn’t do much at all.

There are many things to try but resetting the alignment of your body is the right way to go. Try Egoscue…is an anatomist and has very interesting things to say.

WHY do you have sciatica pain? Have you done any physical therapy, seen a chiropractor, had an MRI or gotten cortisone injections? If really depends on what is causing you this pain.

I have sciatica after having my son as he was lying on my sciatic nerve, yes it is very painful, try some heat pads at the bottom of your back, change ur painkillers, try solpadol & ibufrofen, maybe invest in an orthopaedic matress if u dont already have one, do not sleep with more that one pillow& try no keep on the move if you can. As far as i know there is no cure for this
