Do inversion tables really help back pain?
Can anyone tell me if an inversion table really helps back pain?
I have been thinking about buying an inversion table to help with back pain, but I don’t want to waste my money. Has anyone used one and had relief from back pain? Thanks for your answers.

For most back pain anything that takes the compression off the spine is likely to help. However lying down with the shoulders raised on a pillow can do very well as it tends to correct common back issues by not only taking the weight off but also putting a better curve into the spine too. Depends on what you have & you can always try both.
Look at it this way. When the Astronauts launch into Space, as they have and spend time in Space, the only problem is when they return to Earth and gravity takes over. So you could dangle upside down, reverse the gravitational pull, but unless you go to Space, nothing will take you out of the gravitational field. Swimming is excellent, but once out of the Pool, gravity takes over. Best of Luck
Really depends on why you have back pain. If you haven’t seen a doctor, you probably should. If your back pain is due to inflammation try actipatch. Also take some anti-inflammatory meds, like motrin. If you are not already at a healthy weight, do what you can to lose some weight- swimming and walking. Also do some core strengthening exercises. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
