Sciatica is serious, if you have it you need to see your doctor. It could mean you have a herniated disc. But if you have it often self treatment is usually Immediately stop the activity that is causing pain, but do not become immobile. It is better to carry on with every day movement. Bed rest could actually worsen the situation. Apply ice therapy at 20-minute intervals during the acute stage of the first 24 to 48 hours after pain first occurs. Some compression can also be helpful, after 48 hours, alternate heat and ice. Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID), such as ibuprofen, to reduce pain and inflammation. Hope i helped. God Bless.
It’s all because of stress. Calm down. Stop worrying. Think positively. Don’t get upset.
Here are a few sites that will help you far more than anything you’ll read here,, with your spine you can’t be too careful,,, what you will get here is guesses,,, use the links,, they will help,,, I deal with pain every day and use these sites often

and Fred has a good suggestion,, I’ve been doing it for a long time,, it works great!! thumbs up!
Sleep with a pillow between your knees (if sleep on sides) or under your thighs at the knees (if sleep on back) or a thin pillow under tummy (if sleep on tummy). Ibupropen (anti-inflammatory) and Flexoril (muscle relaxant) if you go to see a doctor.
Good luck
Ahhh I can relate. Lie on your back with some pillows under your legs, it should ease the strain on your spine. Also, if you have it, lie on a firm mattress.
In the long run, always see your doctor.
Been there my friend. I assume the pain runs down the leg(s) too? I had good luck with laying in a warm tub, and put my knees on my chest. Sort of like the "cannon ball" position when you jump in the pool. Also, I put the bad leg on the top of the couch while laying. As far as when it will stop depends. Hopefully a few days or weeks of rest will do it.
Try some yoga strecthes for your back and do some relaxation with some soft music while liying flat on the floor and don’t forget the candle light it helps to relax too
