by not doing anything you make it worse. I’ve dealt with back pain for 10 years.

Before you do any exercising, warm up slowly by walking quickly for 5 minutes.

    STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH your back.

exercise your core muscles, legs and upper back regularly.

Include some form of cardio. At first it may only be 20 minutes of walking. But that will help.

I also used accupuncture and was amazed at how much it helped.

Try laying on your back and pulling your knees up to your chest, then rock back and forth, 10 times, do 5 reps putting your feet back down between. Also try puttin ice on your back where it hurts for 20 min at a time, no more or you get the reverse effect. Also if you want something all natural for the pain try white willow bark. Hope you feel better soon.

As the majority of back pain is caused by weakened or deconditioned core muscles, a proper exercise program can do wonders for reducing or eliminating back pain. Living with 2 herniated disks, I can speak from experience. For a great exercise program, check out http://www.yourhealthyback.com .

    Hope that helps,

i just went to the emergency room for a pulled muscle in my lower back, i got 2 the point where i couldnt sit, stand, walk, or even move. the doctor has me laying down and SLOWLY (i stress the slowly part cuz u can really hurt yourself otherwise) pull your knees to ur chest, first your left knee, then your right, and if you can, try both at the same time.

Walk then a few sit ups. WALK WALK WALK. Do not bend over without first bending you knees.
So one of the first excerises should be to prastice bending your knees and getting down to the ground on one knee.
You need to retrain your body to only bend down and lift in one way.
I have been dealing with ruptured disk 30 + years.
