How can I get rid of my lower back pain?

Question on getting rid of lower back pain..

I’m 14 years old and I’ve had pretty bad back pain for a while.

It’s mostly on my left side of my spinal cord but my muscle on the upper right side of my spinal cord I get really bad cramps.

What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book if you suffer from any kind of chronic pain. Even if your doctor has pronounced judgement that he/she knows what’s causing things, try this book. As the author says, trigger point therapy should be the first course of treatment: it’s easy and cheap.

Bad posture while sitting at the computer might cause this (believe me, I know xD). When I get back pains the best way for me to get rid of them is to get a massage! Not sure if you would be comfortable with that but in case you are not, all I can say is try to sit straight, sleep with your back straight, and not force your back too much until it feels better!

    =D hope I helped!

Try sleeping with your back flat accross a large cutting board. That’s what I do when my back hurts. Or just try sleeping flat on your back in general. The latter worked for me the other night.

My husband went to physical therapy for months to help him with lower back pain, basically they just tried to stretch the vertebrae allot.
Try spending time stretching it or you could hang from something, or get a home traction kit maybe.

Since you are only 14 and having these problems so early on, you should really see your family doctor or pediatrician first at the very least where he/she can make a decision on whether to send you to a specialist or chiropractor or both, and to minimize the pain as well. You could have something very serious going on, and if left unattended, you could be far worse off as you get older and it may become an irreversible situation if you ignore it until it gets so bad you cannot even function.
Also, a chiropractor can do wonders in their office as well as teach you some maneuvers & stretching exercises to take home with you when you’re feeling discomfort.Good luck & hope this gets you on the right track.
