ive had backache for weeks! has been soooo bad ive had to just stay at home on the sofa - i couldnt go shopping anymore, i had to get my mum and fiance to go and do food shopping becasue i couldnt handle walking with my back! mine started about week 34 aswell. my midwife gave me a TENS machine when i got to 37wks as its then safe to use and it helps alot with my back ache x im 40wks monday and i still have horrific back ache lol!

you baby may have dropped and engaged into you pelvis ready for birth- common to happen about week 34 in first pregnancies...it puts alot mroe strain and pressure which can add to back ache! - but is no indication that labour will start anytime soon

Your back could be aching because your baby is growing rapidly. The added weight can cause strain on your back. Spotting and cramping is something you should be concerned about. Good luck, mommy!
