How To Get Rid of Killer Backache?
How do I get rid of a killer back ache?
My back has been killing me almost all day today. I have tried stretching and twisting around in the chair to crack my back and I took some meds but none of that seems to help for very long. Does anyone have any idea of any self-massage, back cracking techniques or anything like that that would help me?

Stretching and twisting are things you do for just a minute or two, then go back to doing what you’re doing that makes your back ache some more. To kill the backache, you’re going to have to seriously step away from what you’re into right now and let your back do something else.
Get hold of a hot pad and lie down, on your belly over some cushions, with the hot pad on your back. Stay there.
No, lie back down! I said "stay there." Give yourself a good thirty minutes to give your back muscles time to stretch out, loosen up, and relax from what you’ve been making them do. Then go back to work.
get a asain massage
advil
soak in Epsom salt. then use a heating pad. Works for me.
Try Midol. A few of my male friends told me it helped their backaches, plus it helps mine as well.
Do you have a heating pad. I have had good success with them. You can get one at a drug store/Walmart.
Icy-hot patches. They worked for my sprained neck, They are amazing.

using a tennis ball you can roll your back that is a form of self massage. also you can use a heating pad to loosen up the muscle. take tylenol as needed.
get some1 to sand on it
Have you tried rolling your back on one of those huge balls
Your best bet would be to see a chiropractor. He may be able to put your back into alignment. Therapeutic massage is also very helpful with back pain.
It always helps me to lay prone on the floor with my legs elevated on the couch or something equally as high. Make sure your bottom is snug against the couch so your back is 100% flat. Lay for about 30 minutes and occassionally bring your knees to your chest if possible. This not only stretches the muscles but will put your spine back into place if out. Good luck!
Well try putting a heating pad on it….while going to sleep…i have pains like that and that will surely help.

You dont want to pull it anymore than you have, but do keep stretching the muscles! Sometimes back strains just need time for healing! try not to do any lifting, pulling, jumping, or sudden movements, just allow your back to relax… sit up straight! This will help keep your bones in line! and theres less pressure from the curves in your back!!
Wet a small towel then put into microwave for about a min. and put onto back where pain is. Don’t make it to hot to burn your skin, touch it first to see that it’s not to hot.
try alternating a heating pad and an ice pack in the affected area. i wouldn’t try any weird sudden movements. and unless you are getting a massage from a professional, you could do more harm than good. when my back was out the other week, my husband tried to give me a massage and i couldn’t move a couple hours later. i had to go to doc then and they gave me muscle relaxers and darvocet and told me to alternate heat and cold. hot baths are good too.
You should try stretch for a bit, lie down in a chair and get someone to massage you. In less than 20 minutes, your backache should be gone.
apply two "oscar mayer raw bacon patches" to back for relief; add dry heat and cheese for instant snack.
Stand with your arms raised at sides and gently sway your arms from front to back. as in twist at the hips from side to side trying to see as far back as you can when you twist. Take a hot bath and use a heating pad if you have one. Do an arch or boat pose done in yoga.
If you are having certain muscle areas in your back that are hurting, use a tennis ball. Get a tube sock and put the tennis ball in it. Hold the sock so the ball is on the spot that hurts then lay on a hard surface with the ball on the pain area for about 10 minutes per spot.
