I get a lower backache

Question..

When I walk around I get a lower backache. When I sit down I get an all over backache – the pain makes me feel sick. I get it all the time.. I’ve been suffering from backache for three years and I’m only 15!!

I was just wondering if anyone else suffers like me and what do you do to help it.. or have you been diagnosed with anything..? Before I was born the doctors thought I had spina bifida (I dont though!) could this be anything to do with my backaches..?

Thanks in advance!

HAVE YOU BEEN TO YOUR DOCTOR WITH THIS PROBLEM. IF NOT THEN YOU SHOULD HE CAN RUN A CAT SCAN OR A BONE SCANE TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM GOING ON. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN CHECKED FOR SCOLIOSIS. IT CAN CAUSE CHRONIC BACK PAIN. I HAVE EXPERIENCED BACK PAIN SIMILAR FOR ABOUT FOUR YEARS AND I HAVE A CONDITION CALLED FIBROMIALGA BUT I REALLY THINK YOU NEED TO HAVE A FULL PANEL OF TEST DONE TO RULE OUT A SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE. I WISH YOU THE BEST IF YOU FIND OUT TRY TO POST A RESPONE BACK

The best thing to do would be to talk to your doctor. Any number of things can cause a backache, and he/she will be the best person to track it down. IMHO it would be irresponsible for anyone to start throwing out possible diagnoses or problem areas based on the information you have provided.

You need to get back to your doctor – you don’t have to keep suffering. Haven’t your parents or guardians noticed anything? It’s
a long time since you were born to being 15!

ask to be referred to a neurologist there may be some under lying problem if the doctors thought you would have spina bifida

although im a lot older than you i had the same symptoms found out i had spinal athritis.
although this is unlikely in your case you should get your gp to arrange an xray or other invesigation
