Even I am planning to buy a bike. Thunderbird Twin spark. I have had a real bad back in the past and had to switch to car driving for more than 10 years. I did test ride the thunderbird, and the seating is comparatively good and feels like ur sitting in a car seat. But yes, if the electic start fails I will not be able to kick start the bike for sure.

It would be as good as any other street bike. Riding a motorcycle is not really a good idea if you have a bad back.

A bike that allows you to sit straight up is best for any back, but especially with a bad back. Just make sure it has a good soft suspension as bikes tend to jar the body when they hit bumps. Also consider if your back can handle lifting the bike if it falls over or even wheeling it around without the engine running.

Depends on 'your back'. I have an awful back. For me the best thing is a lay down riding position, like a sport bike. I fill up my tank bag and lay on it during long trips, am good for 6+ hours a day. I'm only good for about an hour in a traditional riding position, and the cruiser riding position with feet forward, forget about it.

So I would think about the Bajaj Avenger 180 DTS-i if you have to buy this brand of bike. Personally I would stick to name brand Japanese bikes.
