Is it normal to have really bad back pain during the first timester?

Question about back pain during early pregnancy..

I am about 5 weeks pregnant. With my daughter I had severe back pain but it wasn’t until the second trimester?

Is it possible to have severe back pain during the first trimester? Anyone experience this?

Yes, I had back pain with my first but not this soon.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book if you suffer from any kind of chronic pain. Even if your doctor has pronounced judgement that he/she knows what’s causing things, try this book. As the author says, trigger point therapy should be the first course of treatment: it’s easy and cheap.

Yes. When I was about 4 weeks pregnant, I had backpain from hell just from moving some boxes around, and I was so sore that I could barely move. That was before I knew I was pregnant.

Back pain could occur if you are carrying a heavy backpack that you have not carried all summer

I had back pain early with this pregnancy, but i think mine had to do with my breasts..I have larger ones to begin with and in the 1st trimester, mine were so sore and swollen…and that was contributing to my back pain…in addition to dealing with a toddler ( 16 months) at the time.

I had bad, but not severe, back pain in my first trimester. In fact it was worse when I was just a few weeks along than when I was 8-9 months along. Don’t know the reason but I believe it’s not uncommon.

usually all pregnant women experience for sure. When ur child is to born and u don’t know about that, you will get a back pain which worse than severe one.
