I have the same problem it’s really bad. When I masterbate with a magic bullet type device where you do not insert, only use on the outside, within 8 yrs I have severe sciatic never pain. It is in that area, left bum cheak, down that left side and even on my left foot. I have it now so as I am typing I can feel the nerve throbbing. So yes, you are NOT doing anything wrong.
