I do not have insurance and have chronic backpain. I can’t get prescription medications for my back pain or have the tests the doctor wants because of the prohibitive cost, so I have to take over-the-counter medications for my back pain. I have been taking aspirin and would like to know how many I can safely take in one day.
I have some serious back pain issues, what is the quickest way I help alleviate some of my problems?? I’ve tried pretty much every back pain remedy there is, I don’t know what else to do.. What would be a good website to help me with something like this?
I have tried to put a pillow in a comfortable position for my back. I have also tried ibuprofen and another muscle relaxer the Doctor gave me for pain, but it’s not helping.
What can I do?
Seriously…I wonder how 30 or 40 years of sitting with a lump under your butt cheek affects your back? I guess if you have lower back problems then would you ever stop to think that might be why? A recent poster said her boyfriend finds his wallet too “hard” to sit on!
I hurt my back so I went to the emergency room. The Doc said I have a pinched Sciatic nerve. He gave me some pain killers and that’s cool and all, but what can I do to help the pain when they run out. I don’t want to have to depend on prescriptions all the time. Is there anything else I can try? Please Help. I’m in some real pain. Thank you.
I am only 13 weeks and I think this is too early to be having back pain. Is this correct? The pain lasts all day, every day and has been going on for about a week and a half.
I walk every day for an hour and have tried hot baths and they don’t help. Any solutions as well?
I have found that by sleeping with pillow under my lower leg these pains have gone this weekend. It may of course come back, but I am hopeful all it means is a change of mattress – my current one is possibly too soft.
I’m 22 and since about a year ago, I’ve been having lower back pain that’s been getting worst. I don’t do sports and there was no injury to the area. It comes and goes but it’s causing me more pain now and the pain is also in my legs. The pain is worst when I lie down at night and its a sharp pain radiating to a dull pain. The leg pain feels like nerve pain and it’s been making my legs very weak and I have trouble walking at times. I also get this weird tingling sensation in my lower body and it makes my legs weak and knees buckle. I’ve been to several doctors and they told me it was muscle pain at first, told me to exercise, and gave me anti-inflammatory medicines. None of that worked, and they are having x-rays done and my CT scan is scheduled for Monday. I’m pretty nervous, and the doctor said she does not know what it is without the test results and does not know what the problem could be. Anyone have similar experiences and can tell me what it was or any ideas what it could be?
Will CT scans always be helpful to find out problems relating to my back pain? Seems like some of you think that I should not be getting a CT scan. What is the worst possible problem that could be causing my pain? I just want to be prepared. I don’t do any lifting or heavy exercise, so the slipped disc thing seems weird… Does it just happen?
