Just skip class, take a sick day and relax. Have a friend record lecture or force yourself to do the reading and go to office hours.

I feel your pain. I once had to leave class in tears when I was a freshmen in college because my back hurt so bad.
Heating pad before class. Get up early and walk around some before you head out to class this will help with the cramping. Advil and aleve are good for the pain. If you know your period is coming take them before you get the back pain. Midol has a muscle relaxant which may help some. If you aren't on oral contraceptives consider getting some. They have helped many woman with painful periods by reducing the length of the period.

If OTC medication isn't helping, ask a doctor for prescription medication. Using a heating pad (from another answer) sound good. You can also buy heatwraps that you can wear under your clothes.
