Relieve backache at 32 weeks pregnant

What can i do to help relieve backache? I’m 32 weeks pregnant?

Since about 2 weeks my back has started to ache from middle to lower back. I have a sit down job, where i’ll be sitting for 7.5 hrs a day. I tried to put a cushion behind but that didn’t help!

I get my husband to rub or massage my back at nights.

Have you any more ideas?

Thanks.

heat helps. i had one of those bags that are filled with lavendar and some other stuff, i dont know what, that you put in the microwave to heat up when i was still working and it was a life saver. i just heated it in the microwave, and put it between my back and my chair at my desk.

I would also like to know as I’m 29 wks along and my whole back hurts. From my ribs down to my lower back… I haven’t tried anything, just that my husband rubs my back every night. But still doesn’t help!!

Im 34 weeks and the heating pad is my new best friend. My dr said the heating pad is okay and tylenol as needed.

There are massages for pregnant women and also chiropractic care. Both are wonderful rememdies. I would sleep on my left side with a pillow between my knees to level out the pressure upon my lower back. Bath’s helped, if not only for the relaxation of it.

Herbal heat packs work wonders as a previous person said. Your husband could try using a massage stone that has been heated (but put oil on it). There’s really nothing else you can do, just make sure he gives you a DEEP muscle massage. If he’s just getting the surface, I’m not surprised that it isn’t helping. I’ve spent a long time massaging my sister when she was pregnant and I learned quickly that you can’t be gentle.

You should start using a heating pad on your back to help relieve some of the pain.

heating pads, warm baths, and stretches help me a little, especially if a take some Tylenol.
