Hi ,i would suggest a good massage to take away the pain and and see a chiropractor in between massages. You can also see a massage therapist,as they know exactly the what and why as your have this pain.Something is causing it ?Best of Luck and get rid of the pain, painkillers do not cause the problem.there is obviously a reason for the pain.Good LUCK

Hmm…start working out/stretching and such. Should eventually mend your muscles. I used to have really really bad lower back problems…hurt to move at all. what really helped me was the icy hot cream stuff…id put that on it at night…helped me to sleep and ease the pain.

I have problems with my lower back aching especially when I lay down in bed at the end of the night. Yoga helped me immensely with this and I no longer have that problem. You should try taking a few classes at your local yoga studio if you have one. Make sure you let the teacher know about your back. They may give you some simple moves you could do at home.

Lie on a flat surface and pull your knees up to your chest. Rock back and forth for a few minutes and then lie with your knees bent for 5-10 minutes. Repeat.
OTC Ibuprofen is good for mild pain. OTC pills are 200mg and you can take 800mg safely three times a day.

depends on the injury.
if it’s strained, you may do some warm compress. you also need to have total complete rest (meaning no strenuous activity like sports, carrying stuff, etc). stretch your back after doing warm compress but don’t overdo it.
try to see your doctor just to be sure. it might be something else if it does not become well in several weeks.
