Not all doctors recommend this so I would talk to your gyn about it, but it seemed to help her out a lot. She continued to have sciatica after her pregnancy due to a back injury she sustained and they gave her cortizone (sp?) shots in her lower back....I don't recommend that while you're pregnant. This really helped me when I was in the same situation. Also my doctor told me to do light stretching throughout the day and to drink plenty of fluids. And to keep walking even though it hurts...Try sleeping with a pillow between your knees at night, this will relieve some of the pressure being put on that nerve. You can take tylenol for pain as needed if your doctor says it's ok. Ask your doctor if it’s ok to get a prenatal massage. This really helped me when I was in the same situation.
