What could be causing my lower left side back pain?

Question about lower left side back pain..

I have been in severe, crippling lower left side back pain for over a month now. The pain killers aren’t working, I can’t bend over to do anything without being in pain, and the xray revealed nothing. I can’t sit in my chair at work without being in pain. I have done NOTHING to injury my back. What are some possible things that could be causing my crippling lower back pain? Thanks.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book if you suffer from any kind of chronic pain. Even if your doctor has pronounced judgement that he/she knows what’s causing things, try this book. As the author says, trigger point therapy should be the first course of treatment: it’s easy and cheap.

I’m going to a joint specialist for this next week. They’re probably gonna tell me to go to a chiropractor, that is what I would do If I were you.

Chronic inflammation- try some anti inflammatory meds like motrin. If you are not a healthy weight, do what you can to get there. Use actipatch to reduce inflammation and control your pain.
