I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book if you suffer from any kind of chronic pain. Even if your doctor has pronounced judgement that he/she knows what’s causing things, try this book. As the author says, trigger point therapy should be the first course of treatment: it’s easy and cheap.

My mother suffers from terrible back and neck pain so you’re not the only one! but she uses the memory foam mattress. So she can find a comfortable position to sleep in, wake up without pain, and be able to be in that position again because its imprinted onto the memory foam! but now she’s going to a chiropractor every week which helps relieve stress when she goes to bed and such.

The sleep number is pretty spiffy, you can change the settings whenever you need to and make ir more firm or more soft. Works very well for me because I normally like a very soft mattress, but when my back goes out I need an extra firm surface and dont like laying on the ground. Also nice because each side of the bed has its own control so your partner can have a different firmness than you.

actually you don’t even need a mattress, back then in the day people would just lay on the floor, you should try that my uncle does it all the time and takes a way his back pain, it’s easy, it’s free, and it works you should try it out, bye :o )

If you have a chiropractor ask them. That is what I did. They would be most familiar with your condition and the underlying cause.

Tempurpedic is great, but use also with a tempurpedic pillow. Additionally, you need to stretch during the day as a therapy for the neck and back. A great stretch would be to lay on your back and bend both knees in to your chest. hold the knees there and then let go your arms so they are on the ground stretched out wide like an airplane. next, bring your knees (both together) to the left side toward the ground (slowly) and concentrate on feeling a small engagement in the mid to lower back. Get as close to ground as possible and hold for 15 seconds. Slowly return to the start position and repeat on the other side.

For your neck, very slow neck rolls/rotations will be helpful.

Try changing all of the adjustments on it, sleep on it, the next morning change the adjustments again if you still wake up with neck and back pain. I would take it back if it does not work for you.
