The first thing you need to do is go to a medical dr. and let him order some tests such as a MRI or something like to make sure that there is nothing wrong with your spine or disk. Dont do anything until you go to the dr. you could just make it worse or do more damage.

i agree that an additional test, an mri, is warranted, but all that can be done thru your chiro. I would not give up on chiro. Whose care plan did you follow....his or yours. Did he do any type of therapy, exercise, stretching, etc. for you? How many visits did you go? What technique did he use? Did you hear any pops or clicks in your spine when he adjusted you? all play an important role in determining if chiropractic really can help you.

email me directly if you want to discuss further

I would strongly recommend a serious change in your diet and eating habits and also sleeping habits. I have overcome over time (which is the greatest healer in itself) a major problem with my 5TH lumbar in my back so I know where you are coming from.I get my best sleep when I do not eat anything or at least anything heavy after 4:30 PM. Health and Wellness as an Industry is the next Trillion Dollar Industry!! Try local Health Food Stores. Talk to People-In-Know about what Natural Food Products that you should be taking. Also Try Internet Sites that may have an even better selection.Eat Healthy And Wise! Get Plenty Of Sunshine!!! Use Self-Hypnotic Relaxation Tapes. The Music Is Wonderful For Relaxing the Nerves and Relieving Stress and Tension.

Getting referral from your primary MD for physical therapy would be the best thing to do. There they could treat you for your back pain, at least help decrease the pain, teach you proper body mechanics to protect your back and teach you stretching and strengthening exercises for your low back.

Try performing exercises in your local pool. This would take the stress off your back and allow you to strengthen your muscles. If all else fails. Go with David Trust's answer..
